THE CONTEST

We asked all 7 of the Guests of Honor to tell us who is their favorite author. For seven straight days we posted the name of the favorite author of one of the GoHs somewhere on the official website. Each answer was only available for 24 hours, and then the next GoH’s favorite was posted. 

Following are the GoHs and their answers:

• DAY TWO – Fan GoH – Tony Lewis – Cordwainer Smith
• DAY THREE – Fan GoH – Suford Lewis – Lois McMaster Bujold
• DAY FOUR – Artist GoH – Phil Foglio – Dashiell Hammett
• DAY FIVE – Artist GoH – Kaja Foglio – Doesn’t have a favorite author
• DAY SIX – YA GoH – Nilah Magruder – Kate Elliot
• DAY SEVEN – Author GoH – Alan Dean Foster – Eric Frank Russell

For seven days, members emailed us with the answers. Every correct entry was registered in our database.

The winner was determined using RANDOM.ORG.  We put every name from every correct entry into the system. We then randomized it, with the first name (the one at the top) being declared the winner.
